BUT GUYS, dont you think we should thank USCIS Director Emilio Gonzalez as well for honoring original July visa bulletin?
His comments from the bulletin sounds so honest

Here is an idea: say we have roughly 500 members out of this vast array of 35000+ members who have the heart and the will to contribute. we get $2000 from each and place it in an escrow trust account that does not release money for expenditure unless we reach $1 mln
We need to identify number of people who can really make a big chunk of one time contribution (like $500,$1000,$2000), and we should aim at scoring atleast 2000 committed members, so that per person share would be $500. Once we have the pledge from committed members; IV shall announce the fund raising day (instead of fund raising thread) in advance, all committed members will contribute the same day (optimistic).

Almond I agree with you completely...I am not against questions being asked or answering questions...This community has been helpful to me in the past and I would be more than welcome to lend support....but a little effort would'nt harm....
There is a saying "SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND...." No matter how old the information its always possible to dig it out...not only using this forumn search but also google search....I just hope people try and seek before ..that's all
But, but it feels so much better to come to a community of people who know exactly how you feel and are going through the same motions :). I think we're both right to some degree. I also believe that people do what I do: post the same questions on about 5 different forums and look it up at the same time and then gather as much info as possible. I had my restamping done at Mumbai consulate 2 weeks back. They only asked me about the salary and what physical location I am working. I had taken last 3 salary slips with me, but not used at all. Make sure H4 interview is at right category if restamping H4. VFS folks did not allow my wife to go to interview since her H4 stamp on passport was expired more than 12 months, even though she has I529 approval for the period after that. One more thing with Mumbai consulate is you have to hand deliver all your paper work atleast 5 working days in advance. They do not accept via currier or other means.

My lawyer informed this. They instructed me not to travel while extension is pending. In case you have to travel, they suggest to do the extension after return back. I don't have any source for this information.
But it makes sense isn't it. Your extension is the extension of your last I94, however if you travelled after application, your extension have different i94 number and your recent i94 has different number. Just my opinion.

Attorney needs to ask for PD porting while applying new I140. Once new I140 is approved with old PD then send a interfiling letter along with a copy of new approved I140 for adjustment of the pending I485 which is based on old I140.

The person should be eligible for H-1B (even if 6 years are complete) as he/she has I-140 pending or approved. If I-140 is pending, then H-1B can be filed for 1 year extension, if I-140 is approved then H-1B extension can be upto 3 years.

I don't want to discourage you, but IV has looked into all these options earlier and has realized that it would be fruitless to try and ask our lazy politicians to take up our case with the US govt. More over this is an internal matter of US govt and Indian government cannot influence their policies and laws. Why would you expect Indian govt. to fight for you, when you left the Indian shores and want to settle down in US for your comfort?
Having said that, if you do have contacts and would like to take the lead in reaching out to the Indian govt, IV will support you. So please do the honors.

Okay..Here is the deal..If you are on H1B currently and do NOT have any paystubs for longer than a month (usually), then you face the risk of getting an RFE from USCIS regarding your status.
This is YMMV meaning you may get it or you may not, nobody can say for sure...It all depends on how closely USCIS looks at your case.
If you have been on H1B status without paystubs longer than 183 calendar days, you have bigger problems. My recommendation in that case is to get a good attorney ASAP.
If you feel your case status so far does not have any major legal or immigration issues, my suggestion is to use the EAD to work and make sure you renew it on time and stay in AOS. The downside to that is if your spouse's 485 has any issues and gets denied, then you are immediately out of status. (If that happens, you probably have more to worry about than just your status)
As always, take the above with a pinch of salt and consult an attorney in moments of doubt...!
