Here's a fabulous tutorial by Beth Perry using Tim Holtz Fragments.

This tutorial is eady peasy, guys! I have such a hard time throwing away "scraps" of beautiful paper! So, now I don't have to. You can use them up AND make one of kind awesome jewelry!

Take your Ranger clear glossy accents and swirl glue all around one side of a Tim Holtz fragment. Then, place it on (glue side down) your pretty patterned paper (make sure you glue it on the side you DO want to see). I then, just swirled my fragment around just a bit, to smear the glue, hitting all parts of fragments. As you can see I did quite a bit, then I just set it to the side and came back to it the next day.

I cut around my fragments, sanded down the sides and took a paper piercer to punch the hole (already in the fragment) through the paper. Then, layer as you please! I loved using that 'journey' charm from Margie's Girls Paperie and the keys and charms from Tim Holtz.

Joy's Vintage has moved into Vintage Village

When I was visiting Vintage Village on Sunday, I stopped into the shop behind the main store to visit with Joy of Joy's Vintage.  Joy always has the neatest kitschy items and always fantastic prices. She was going to move into Vintage Village upstairs (there are two floors of treasure) this week.  Will miss the 1950s fridge filled with old time soda's and Yoo Hoo but her moving into the village will be a great move for her.  So while she was packing things to take over, I found some items I had to come home with.

Always love these 1940s shoe stretchers.  Mostly because they are such a wonderful pale pink and pale blue.

Pretty little lace and ribbon dress collar.  This is boat neck size so it has lots of lace that can be used for repurposing in other projects.

My favorite find at Joy's.   A lovely carnival glass, stretch vase.  So keeping with the kitschy mood, I brought a few great, vintage school pieces into my main booth.

Heavy red wool and stadium blanket with letter and name stitched on it.  A pair of gold fur tall band hats, a band shield with the letter "N", a marvelous band/majorette hat with plume, and a pair of vintage letters for an athletic sweater.

I love this hat with the bright orange feathered plume.  What fun it would be to wear this to your local high school football game. 

Make it a his and hers night when you wear matching band hats.  Vintage wool letters for your school sweaters.

I'm knee deep in fabrics as I begin working on my NY raviolis Halloween costumes.  Hope to have these finished by this weekend.  Found some novelty fabric that I couldn't resist so I will have a surprise outfit for Kit Kat on top of her Strawberry Shortcake request.  Will post photos when I finish them.  Have a wonderful week and blessings to you and those you love.  Sea Witch

Sushi Tei Pavillion KL

Few days ago, I went Pavillion for a walk with my pals.

I gotta admit that I didnt went there for some times and Bukit Bintang walk change a lot!!! Not only that, it's sad to know that one of my favourite brand outlet, Tough's Jeansmith in Pavillion closed down and one of my purpose for going Pavillion is to check out the Star War's collection in Adidas original shop. Guess what!? It's under renovation. Oops, that's MY DAY!!

However, we end up eating at Sushi Tei in Pavillion after wandering around twisting between Ding Tai Fung and Al-Amar.

Sushi Tei, a new choice of sushi restaurant in Pavillion.

I think this is quite new (for me) as I didn't notice it before for the VERY last time I went to Pavillion. It's located at the ground floor which near the food court area, a few shoplots away from Speedy (If not mistaken, I think should be one shoplot away).

The design is kinda different from the others japanese restaurant.

We're like flipping through the menu for quite a long duration~ Sushi Tei's rice (Those Don Don Don) and noodles (Those Ramen and Soba) are not really much choices for us (I'm expecting they will have something much different ). But the coolest thing is.....I finally found a Japanese Restaurant with UNI!!!!!!!

However, I didn't order the Uni. This is what we order for our lunch (Kinda heavy for me..).

Green Tea of Sushi Tei.

Soba, the white dipping sauce is weird.

Salmon and ikura don. Shiny Ikura!!! Yummy~

Hotate Mentai Tamago Don.....I HEART Hotate!!!!

Unagi Don, this is a HUGE unagi portion!

Forget what is the name (Go me na sai!!), but it is crab meat, egg roe inside and salmon with fried tofu filling with sushi rice. Thumbs up for this one!

I think that I would try the Sushi and Temaki in Sushi Tei for the next visit. Comparing their main cuisine and sushi, I think they have some really unique sushi that the others Japanese Restaurant don't have. I got hooked to Japanese food lately. Munch munch, targeting another Japanese Restaurant for next Pit Stop!!
